IFCs TO ALLOCATE ADDITIONAL MEANS FOR BTC PIPELINE

The engineering design of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline of 1740km with a capacity of 50 million tons of hydrocarbons per year is estimated to cost US$ 2,9 - 3 billion to build. But these figures are not final as, in the opinion of experts, the cost of the Main Export Pipeline (MEP) could reach far over 3 billion dollars. According to the suggested scheme of financing, 30% will stem from own resources of the participants of the consortium entering a sponsor\'s group, and 70% will be financed internationally.KYRGYZ POLICE DISARMED

The adoption of a Unified Election Code is one of the obligations accepted by the Government of Azerbaijan when accorded membership in the Council of Europe in 2001. The document is set to unite all separate laws on elections and eradicate gaps and contradictions between them, thus paving the way for more fair and free elections in the country.
