Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli said that the U.S. is ready to support a plan for the peaceful settlement of the South Ossetia problem, proposed by President Mikheil Saakashvili in the UN.
Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli said that the U.S. is ready to support a plan for the peaceful settlement of the South Ossetia problem, proposed by President Mikheil Saakashvili in the UN. \"The U.S. administration and Congress have expressed their readiness to support Georgia in implementing the plan, proposed by the Georgian president in the UN,\" Nogaideli told the press on Saturday. He said he hopes for early talks with South Ossetian President Eduard Kokoity on details of the peaceful settlement plan. Nogaideli also said that, \"the parties could then move forward to demilitarization talks.\" (Interfax)
