NEARLY 200 COFFINS SENT TO TAJIKISTAN FROM RUSSIA IN FIRST HALF 2006

The bodies of 190 Tajik citizens were sent from Russia in the first six months of 2006, according to Interior Ministry data. The cause of death varied, with 69 killed in accidents, an equal number dying from disease, four committed suicide, and eight were killed in traffic accidents. The northern province of Sughd received the largest number of dead at 85.
