Several dozen members of the Georgian trade union of teachers demonstrated outside the Russian embassy in Tbilisi on Thursday demanding an end to what they called the persecution of Georgians by authorities in Russia. \"We protest against the open persecution of Georgians by the Russian authorities. Georgians in Russia have found themselves in the situation Jews were in in Nazi Germany in the 30s,\" one of the organizers, Manana Burchumelidze, told reporters.
