Azerbaijani police raided a Baku office of the opposition Azerbaijan Popular Front Party on 15 September and seized three grenades and an undisclosed amount of explosives. Police allege that the grenades and explosives were seized from a room in the office being used by the opposition Yeni Fikir youth movement, leading to speculation that the authorities are attempting to bolster their treason charges against the jailed leaders of the youth group.
