Presidential-administration department head Simon Kilidze has been arrested on charges of treason and espionage for an unnamed foreign state, Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili told journalists in Tbilisi on March 28. Merabishvili said that Kilidze began passing secret information to a foreign intelligence service in 2004 and has been paid at least $20,000 for doing so.
