The U.S. administration supports the Georgian government\'s insistence on the withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from the conflict zones in Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali district, U.

The U.S. administration supports the Georgian government\'s insistence on the withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from the conflict zones in Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali district, U.S. Senator Richard Lugar said at a joint briefing with Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli on Tuesday. Lugar said he hoped that the Georgian authorities would find a peaceful solution to the conflicts in the breakaway provinces. The senator also backed Georgia\'s bid for accession to NATO and welcomed the recent reforms in the country. (Interfax)
