Akhmad Umarov, who reportedly turned himself in to pro-Moscow Chechen Prime Minister Ramzan Kadyrov on August 18 in response to FSB Director Nikolai Patrushev\'s July appeal to militants in the North Caucasus to surrender, disappeared several days after footage of his surrender was screened on Russian television, the resistance website kavkazcenter.com reported on September 15.
