PRIVATE The statement made by the Foreign Ministry of the unrecognized Republic of Abkhazia RIA Novosti received Tuesday says that Abkhazian authorities are appealing to the United Nations Organization and Russia to "undertake necessary measures to bring pressure on Georgia in order to prevent military actions." The document reads that "recently the situation in the Kodori Gorge and the adjacent northern part of Abkhazia has become more tense."
