Armenian Government Accepts Russian Corporate Proposal

PRIVATE The Government of Armenia accepted a proposal by the Russky Alyuminy company on acquiring 100 percent of the Armenal foil-rolling factory's shares by the latter. This was disclosed here today at the Armenian Government's public-relations department. (The Armenal enterprise was known as KANAZ during the Soviet era -- Ed.
PRIVATE The Government of Armenia accepted a proposal by the Russky Alyuminy company on acquiring 100 percent of the Armenal foil-rolling factory's shares by the latter. This was disclosed here today at the Armenian Government's public-relations department. (The Armenal enterprise was known as KANAZ during the Soviet era -- Ed.) Russky Alyuminy, which had previously owned 74 percent of all Armenal shares, will thus obtain the remaining 26 percent. Russky Alyuminy invested more than $ 30 million into Armenal, after buying the factory. The company would like to invest another $ 34 million within the next few years. (Russian Economic News)
