A missile fired on 24 April by a Russian strategic bomber during air exercises over Astrakhan fell and exploded in a sparsely populated region of western Kazakhstan but caused no damage or injuries, Russian media reported. A joint task force will be formed to investigate the incident, Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov told journalists in Moscow on 26 April.
