Saudi Arabia and Russia signed an oil-industry cooperation agreement on 2 September during a visit to Moscow by Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah. After talks between Abdullah and President Vladimir Putin, the two countries\' energy ministers signed a five-year gas-and-oil cooperation deal.
