DETAINED AZERBAIJANI OPPOSITIONISTS LAUNCH HUNGER STRIKE

Some 60 people currently being held in the Bailov pretrial-detention center for their alleged roles in the 15-16 October clashes in the wake of the Azerbaijani presidential election have begun a protest hunger strike. They include Musavat Party Deputy Chairman Arif Gadjiev, Umid Party Chairman Igbal Agazade, and People\'s Party Chairman Panakh Huseinov. Eight opposition activists currently on trial for their alleged roles in the protests have also begun a hunger strike to protest police brutality.Visit also
